House Built in 1907 for Charles Voegtly, a local businessman and entrepreneur, the home was originally the farmhouse for a 160 acre farm on the edge of Burns. The Voegtly family occupied the house until the 1940's. It was in the late 1940's that Kathreen Schroeder, who then became Kathreen Woyak, purchased the home where she raised her family and tended the yard and gardens until 1997. Three longtime friends bought the home, spent 2 years re-finishing and decorating, and opened as The Sage Country Inn Bed and Breakfast in 1999. The house occupies nearly a full city block with expansive yard: spruce, cottonwood, pine, pear, and apple trees: lilacs, roses, flowering shrubs and many beautiful flower beds. The perfect place to gather with friends and family to celebrate any special occasion. |

Kathreen's Room Named for the lovely lady who lived in the house for 51 years. A mix of romantic shades of ivory, beige, and mauve color the room. This room has a queen sized bed and a twin bed, as well as a private bath with shower. Looking out through the lace covered windows, you might spy quail feeding under the spruce trees in the front yard.
